Michael Tabtabai July 4, 2013 Michael Tabtabai July 4, 2013 This is why we ride.Every day we carry cards in our pockets in honor or memory of our loved ones, friends, and family members of our friends and supporters. These reminders give us motivation to keep going and the cards go to the families at the end of the ride. Today we ride in memory of Farzad Tabtabai, Rick Trzaska, Steve Thurman and Hugh Cary. We ride in honor of Zack Jerome, Marc Christensen, Walter Cary, Steve Cary & Bruce Cary. A full dedications page will be available on our site at the end of the ride.
Michael Tabtabai July 4, 2013 Michael Tabtabai July 4, 2013 Tenspeed Hero meets LIOTRThe TSH crew were kind enough to travel from Chicago to Monee to meet with us, deliver a care package and share some excellent Mexican food. They did a little write up too & you should check it out: http://tenspeedhero.com/features/leave-it-on-the-road/
Michael Tabtabai July 3, 2013 Michael Tabtabai July 3, 2013 Stage 17The last 25 miles of our 180 mile day were a race against the sun yet again. But this time there was awesome Mexican food and the Tenspeed Hero crew waiting at the finish line. Thanks @tenspeedheroluke for making the trip and for the care package! (at All roads lead to Monee, IL)
Michael Tabtabai July 3, 2013 Michael Tabtabai July 3, 2013 LIOTR Stage 5We’re getting rained on pretty good right now in Illinois, so here’s a look back at Stage 5 on the Oregon Trail. 40+ miles of gravel awesomeness.
Michael Tabtabai July 3, 2013 Michael Tabtabai July 3, 2013 Stage 17 A fairly routine rest stop for the LIOTR crew. (at somewhere in Wisconsin)
Michael Tabtabai July 3, 2013 Michael Tabtabai July 3, 2013 Dog TiredThe end of a long day riding into the winds on the plains of South Dakota. Now that we’re mostly out of them, we can look back and laugh. But those were without a doubt the toughest days of the ride so far. (at Kadoka, SD)
Michael Tabtabai July 2, 2013 Michael Tabtabai July 2, 2013 LIOTR Stage 16 Wisconsin is awesome. We’ve eaten fried cheese curds, done about 65 miles of Portland-esque climbs, and have not been repeatedly punched in the gut by 20+ mph headwinds. Yet.
Michael Tabtabai July 2, 2013 Michael Tabtabai July 2, 2013 Grand TetonsA look back at the stage in the Grand Tetons - rolling out from a rest stop after being caught up in a herd of bison.
